Fishing Shack

Another photo of the a place that is quickly becoming one of my go-to spots, this time at sunset. These colors did not appear until well after sunset. The sky had looked very good before, but by the time I had arrived on the spot the wind had taken all the nice fluffy clouds away, and I was left with nothing but a clear sky. Luckily there were a few more clouds coming my way, and just before the light completely died down, my patience was rewarded with this fleeting but amazing moment. And just a moment it was, it lasted less than a minute, but long enough to burn it in my mind and on my memory card. 😊

Special thanks to my friends, Boris and Aleks, for showing me this place, and so many others!

This little house is actually one of the last traditional fishing huts left on lake Varna. Although the village or group of houses here is technically part of the city of Varna, it is quite far from the city center, on the other side of the Asparuhovo bridge. It is more like a small village without a name than anything else.

This spot is quite a ways off the beaten track, and worth a visit if you plan to spend a bit of time in Varna. The pier is private property, and in quite a bad condition, so please do not go on it. You don’t need to anyway, the best photos are taken of it, not on it. 😊

I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I do. If you do, why not follow me on Instagram: @jackoleenders. It will help me out greatly!
