Stuck…

Like many of you I am also stuck at home.
Here in France a mandatory stay-at-home order is in effect due to the virus but I am also quite sure there is not a person on this Earth that isn’t aware of this so I will not bore you any more details.

As we are not able to go out I have not been doing a lot with my camera lately, but a few days ago I couldn’t take it any longer and went into my garden to experiment with Macro photography. Although I have been wanting to give it a try for some years now, I somehow always found an excuse not to (and trust me when I tell you some of those excuses were realy, realy thin…), but I finally forced myself to try and actually ended up with some decent pictures.

I think this is a picture of a purple wisteria vine, a flowering vine that is extremely common and popular in France. But even though I studied biology, plant determination has never really been my strong suit. If someone could either confirm or correct me that would be awesome!

Please don’t ask me how many pictures I took just to get a good one, the wind has not been my friend in this. I now see why many people just pick the flowers and photograph them at home using a tripod.

I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I do. If you do, why not follow me on Instagram: @jackoleenders. It will help me out greatly!
